How the money works.
What is free, exactlyThe whole app, and a one-view drawing
Upload, correction, scale, every editing tool, dimensions, layers, saving and reopening project files, and the DXF of a one-view drawing. You also start with 3 free Smart Trace runs. A drawing with more than one view, and the 3D model files, download on Pro or Studio; your tracing is saved and waits for you.
Pro and StudioYearly, cancel any time, the paid year runs out
Both plans are billed once a year at the then-current price and renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. You get a reminder before each renewal. Cancel from your account page at any time; access continues until the end of the year you already paid for. The two plans unlock the same things and differ only in how many Smart Trace runs they include: 30 a year on Pro, 100 on Studio.
Smart Trace runsMonthly, carried over, re-runs at half
A plan's runs arrive in twelve monthly parts and carry over from month to month until the end of your plan year; whatever is left then expires. Runs from a top-up never expire, and runs from your plan are always used first. Re-running the same view uses half a run. A run that fails, that you cancel, or whose worker dies is given back automatically, and every run is listed on your account page.
Switching between the styles one run returned is always free: the run already produced all of them.
RefundsPlans and top-ups
A 14-day satisfaction guarantee covers your first plan purchase and top-ups. A refund may be reduced by the Smart Trace runs already used, and a refunded top-up has its runs removed. Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages; no card details touch LensCAD. Receipts, invoices and cancellation live in the billing portal linked from your account page.
